I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the farewell to one of our West Fourth family members, the August Jack.
Sadly, and without much notice, the ‘Jack’ closed its doors yesterday, along with its brother, the Sin Bin, a little farther down the way on West 2nd.
For the past year and a half, the August Jack was many things – a meeting spot for friends, a quiet refuge for a glass of wine, an up-and-coming purveyor of fine craft beer and local brews… it was also the home of Sly Business & the Mark Sly Collective and the second ‘office’ for Wink Productions.
In its short life, the August Jack was a lovely addition to the Kitsilano culture of our neighborhood, and its sparkle will definitely be missed. Not only did it have a beautiful menu, wine list and beverage selection, but a beautiful staff and management team as well – all of whom have become, in one way or another, part of the ‘Wink’ family.
We want to wish owner and manager, Chris Hall, and his incredible team, all sorts of blessings as they all move forward into a new phase of their lives! Change is exciting and I’m positive there are all kinds of good things ahead… but we will miss you.
Just remember, there will always be time for a glass of wine with Wink Productions!
See you all soon – Much love.
